Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the pottery studio?
Mabel Ceramics is a home-based business in Black Creek.
The studio is by appointment only.
Once you have booked a workshop, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with studio address and instructions.
What do I need to bring to my pottery lesson?
Wear clothing that is comfortable and OK to get dirty. Clay and glaze materials will wash out of clothing, but some dark clay bodies may stain light clothing.
Wear comfortable shoes. Not boots!
Pack light. There are a few coat hooks for jackets and bags, but the studio is small!
Long hair should be tied up.
Long nails should be trimmed short.
How long does it take for my pottery to be finished?
Projects can take up to six weeks to be completed, but can sometimes be ready in as little as two weeks! You will be contacted by text or e-mail when your project is ready to be picked up from the Mabel Ceramics storefront.
Is it OK to eat or drink in the studio?
YES!
It's totally cool if you'd like to bring yourself a beverage or snack to enjoy during class.
I have hot tea, cold drinks, and small snacks at the studio for you to enjoy.
Oops! I missed a session. What can I do?
Please ensure you can commit to all classes. Make up classes are not being offered at this time.
Remember to mark your calendars with your workshop or event dates!
I'm signed up for a workshop and want to cancel. What can I do?
Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before the first class. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administration fee. If a customer cancels within 7 days of the workshop, they will not be eligible for a refund.
Where Can I Buy Pottery?
